Engineering Science

A Comprehensive, Value for Money System

The TecQuipment Engineering Science Range consists of 18 experiment kits in fundamental Engineering Science topics common to most mechanical engineering disciplines. This includes the study of forces, moments, friction, materials science, vibration, gears pulleys, chains and mechanisms. The system is modular, and each kit does numerous experiments making the system flexible and great value for money.

Supporting STEM Education

Ideal for curricula based on educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics at colleges and schools. The ES range, with its hands-on approach and detailed experiment notes, provides the perfect link between theory and real world application.

TecQuipment’s Engineering Science range is the foundation of STEM education.

A Complete Tutor-Friendly Solution

All the hardware required to do experiments related to a particular topic are contained within the kit which is presented in a storage tray with a purpose-made moulded insert and checklist to ensure all of the parts are present and are returned at the end of the lab session.

Each of the experiments is designed to fit onto a robust common Work Panel which is supplied with a full set of teaching resources. These resources include reproducible work sheets with background information, theory, instructions, and spaces to write answers and plot graphs. These are backed up with a set of guidance notes for teaching staff giving typical experiment results and answers. All the students need to bring along to the lab are basic drawing instruments and a pocket calculator.

Student Centred Hands-on Experimentation

The experiments are designed to be safe, simple and hands-on for individuals or small groups of students. The worksheets allow for minimum supervision making them ideal for open labs and even distance learning. The kits are suitable for a wide range of levels and abilities from Foundation to postgraduate technology familiarisation courses.
