IMPACT OF A JET APPARATUS
An apparatus to allow students to investigate the forces produced by a water jet striking a flat or a curved surface.
ESSENTIAL BASE UNIT:
The H8 is part of a modular system and needs the following base unit
A mobile self-contained bench to provide a variable supply of water to a series of interchangeable bench-mounting or floor-standing hydraulic and fluid mechanics experiments.
Optional supporting products for the H8
Two target plates for use with the H8 Impact Of A Jet Apparatus. One has the form of a conical cup of 120 degrees angle, the other has a flat target plate inclined at 30 degrees to the horizontal. The student determines the momentum change across the plate and hence the force created by a water jet.
Products with similar functionality to the H8
An educational apparatus to allow students to observe the operation of a Pelton turbine and to determine its performance characteristics.
Pelton Wheel (turbine) for use with the MFP101 Centrifugal Pump Module.
