The Balance Angle Feedback Unit is an ancillary for use with TecQuipment’s Three-Component Balance (AF1300T, AF1450T or AF1600T) to measure the angular position of models mounted on the balance in TecQuipment’s Subsonic Wind Tunnels. The Angle Feedback Unit mounts on the Three-Component Balance attached to the wind tunnel. It then transmits the rotational angle of the model to TecQuipment’s Versatile Data Acquisition System (VDAS®, not included). The angle of the model can then be logged on a suitable computer (computer not included) along with other captured experimental data.
Note: the Angle Feedback Unit can only be used with the Three-Component Balance (AF1300T, AF1450T or AF1600T) and the Versatile Data Acquisition System (VDAS®). The unit is supplied with an input board for VDAS®.
Recently one of the USA’s largest engineering schools, Texas A&M University, invested in a new engineering education complex that would revolutionise the way they teach their 20,000 engineering students. One element of this new complex was a new model for laboratories that would allow them to fully utilise equipment and space by creating “common labs”, shared facilities within Zachry Engineering Education Complex completed in 2018. The new building was only part of the story; they invested heavily in new teaching equipment to be housed in this facility, including a vast range of practical engineering teaching products from TecQuipment.
