This cooling column with no packing, acts as a spray column and is an alternative to the standard cooling column supplied with the bench-mounted Cooling Towers experiment (EC1000).

COOLING COLUMN EMPTY COLUMN

This is an an empty column, which acts as a spray column. Instead of the packing creating surface area to air water absorption, the water droplets from the spray nozzle are the effective area. It has an equivalent packing density greater than 200 m2.m-3.

It can also have packing added (not supplied).

This cooling column with three additional relative humidity and temperature sensors spaced through the packing, is an alternative to the standard cooling column supplied with the bench-mounted Cooling Towers experiment (EC1000).
