Description

  • Driving the company van for local deliveries and collections
  • Picking components for kits, using handheld scanner
  • Highlighting any stock errors and correcting
  • Delivering completed kits
  • Keeping all locations tidy and in an orderly manner

Requirements

Essential:

  • GCSEs: A-C in English, Maths and IT
  • Computer literate
  • Honest, trustworthy and hard working
  • Full driving licence (preferably clean)
  • Previous stores/picking experience
  • Excellent organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Previous stores experience within a manufacturing environment.

Description

Expansion within the company has highlighted an opportunity for an additional Mechanical Test Engineer. The products manufactured at TecQuipment all undergo an extensive test before completion. The work is varied, interesting and demanding as we expect high standards for quality and performance.

Requirements

Essential:

  • HNC minimum in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
  • Previous test experience in relevant mechanical/inspection background
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Positive approach

Desirable:

  • A Level in physics or equivalent
  • Fitting/wiring experience
  • Calibration experience
  • ISO Quality background

Description

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Have already enjoyed a successful and progressive career within manufacturing or production engineering.
  • Have the energy and intellect to conduct a strategic review of our manufacturing facility, identifying and implementing change as required.
  • Be consistently striving to improve product quality and service standard.

The Main Responsibilities include:

  • Member of the Senior Management Team responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a manufacturing strategy complementary to the overall business strategy.
  • Manage the Fabrication, Machining, Assembly, Purchasing, Stores, Planning, Production Engineering and Quality functions to achieve TecQuipment’s demanding delivery and quality requirements.
  • Continuously review the factory layout recommending appropriate changes and implementing those agreed at SMT level. 
  • Identify, implement and maintain a policy for component stocking including, but not limited to, make v buy, batch quantities, minimum stock levels / item coverage.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve quality and reduce factory lead times.
  • Manage the associated budgets within the manufacturing department to ensure resource levels, overheads, overtime are balanced and maintained.
  • Contribute strategically to the development of the company’s ERP system, with particular reference to BoM structures for products and parts.
  • Promote and develop a culture of process ownership throughout the manufacturing area. 

Requirements

  • Have solid background within a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Have proven leadership, commercial and HR skills.
  • Have a proven ability to meet targets and deadlines, achieve budgets and develop innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Good understanding of ERP/MRP system functionality and requirements.
  • Ideally qualified to HND/Degree level in an engineering or technical subject.

Description

  • To provide technical information and answer technical questions from any source within or outside the company
  • To design and develop new products providing suitable production information for their manufacture and upkeep, and complete the projects within the dates and costs specified
  • To estimate, design, modify and build products in line with the company’s ‘Special Projects’ Procedure maintaining specification and estimated costs
  • To ensure Special Project requests are completed and returned within the specified time
  • To provide technical information and liaison to help achieve the planned production schedule
  • To provide technical information to assist in the generation of technical manuals
  • To train internal and external staff/customers on related products 

Requirements

Essential:

  • HND or above in an electrical engineering or similar discipline
  • Use CAD packages to create schematics and product assembly drawings and artworks
  • Knowledge of CE marking including EMC and LVD
  • Experience of using Microsoft office
  • Knowledge of sensors and instrumentation
  • Knowledge of control panel layout and design
  • All round general knowledge of electrical/electronic disciplines
  • Be able to work alone as well as part of a small team

Desirable:

  • Use of Orcad, FastCAD, Boardmaker, Pulsonix, Corel Draw, Microsoft AXAPTA/Dynamix AX
  • Knowledge of the following:
    • Motors, electrical machines and AC/DC variable speed motor drives and control gear
    • Data acquisition systems
    • Analogue/digital electronics
    • Control engineering and industrial controls
