Four New NACA Aerofoils for Subsonic Wind Tunnels
Students can now investigate the aerodynamic performance of four classic aerofoil profiles with the new 4 NACA Aerofoils (AF1300D2, AF1450D2, AF1600D2) set. Designed for use with TecQuipment's subsonic wind tunnels, the package includes:
- NACA 0012 (Symmetrical)
- NACA 2412 (Convex)
- NACA 6412 (Hollow)
- NACA 65(3)-218 (Double Curvature)
These aerofoils enable detailed comparisons of lift, drag, pressure distribution and aerodynamic efficiency, helping students gain a deeper understanding of aerofoil design and performance.
DefleX®-3D Integration for the AF1300
The new AF1300 DefleX® Camera Mount (AF1300DCS) provides a simple and effective way to incorporate the DefleX®-3D Digital Image Correlation system with the Subsonic Wind Tunnel (AF1300/AF1300S).
This accessory enables educators to demonstrate advanced structural measurement techniques, bringing industry-standard aerospace testing methods into the classroom and laboratory.
New Swept Wing Specimen for DIC Analysis
The AF1300L2 Swept Wing is a specially designed specimen for the Wind Tunnels (AF1300/AF1300S). Developed to demonstrate the capabilities of Digital Image Correlation (DIC) in aerospace structural analysis, it allows students to observe and measure deformation under aerodynamic loading while also functioning as a conventional aerofoil for wind tunnel investigations.
A Set of Two Blade Aerofoils for Enhanced Testing
Complementing the swept wing, the new AF1300D3 Set of Two Blades introduce rotorcraft-inspired aerofoils for use with the Wind Tunnels (AF1300/AF1300S).
Designed for DIC-based structural analysis and material testing, these specimens give students valuable insights into helicopter blade behaviour while remaining suitable for traditional aerodynamic experiments.
Enhanced Heat Transfer Experiment with VDAS®
TecQuipment's popular Free and Forced Convection Experiment (TD1005V) is now available with integrated VDAS® software and touchscreen functionality.
The upgrade streamlines data acquisition and analysis, allowing students to focus on understanding the principles of natural and forced convection through modern digital laboratory tools. The addition of VDAS® also enhances the learning experience by providing real-time visualisation and simplified experimental reporting.
New Oscilloscope Option for Water Hammer Studies
The new Oscilloscope (TE86A) for Water Hammer Apparatus enhances the study of transient fluid flow phenomena by providing high-quality signal capture and visualisation.
This addition allows students to observe pressure wave behaviour in greater detail, supporting a deeper understanding of water hammer effects commonly encountered in industrial pipe systems.
Expanding Renewable Energy Teaching Capabilities
Solar Experiments On Demand. To support renewable energy education, TecQuipment has launched the Solar Light Source (TE39A), designed for use with the Flat Plate Solar Thermal Energy Collector (TE39).
The TE39A provides a controlled, weather-independent source of simulated solar radiation, allowing students to conduct solar thermal experiments at any time of year. This ensures consistent teaching schedules while delivering reliable and repeatable results.
Supporting Modern Engineering Education
These latest additions reflect TecQuipment's ongoing commitment to helping universities, colleges and technical institutions deliver engaging, industry-relevant engineering education. By combining practical experimentation with modern digital technologies, educators can provide students with valuable skills aligned with real-world engineering practice.
Whether exploring aerodynamics, structural behaviour, heat transfer, fluid mechanics or renewable energy, these new products help create richer learning experiences and better prepare the next generation of engineers.
